5-axis machining refers to a machine tool that, under the control of a computer numerical control system, has at least five coordinate axes (three linear coordinates and two rotational coordinates) that can perform coordinated motion for machining. Its working principle is to control the five coordinate axes of the machine tool to move simultaneously through the instructions of the numerical control system, achieving high-precision and high-efficiency machining of the workpiece.
During the machining process, the workpiece is clamped on the worktable and cut and machined using cutting tools. The CNC system precisely controls the movement of each axis according to the pre programmed machining program, ensuring that the cutting tool cuts along the preset path. Meanwhile, the CNC system can also monitor the tool position in real-time during the machining process through sensors, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the machining.
